Head of Engineering

The Head of Engineering plays a critical role in shaping the engineering function within our company, focusing on delivering high-quality products that meet clients' needs and regulatory requirements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive successful product development and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture that encourages professional growth and innovation.
Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring the team delivers high-quality fintech products that meet user needs and comply with industry regulations.
Collaborate closely with the product manager to define product vision, features, and technical requirements, translating them into actionable development tasks.
Define and implement the technical strategy for the engineering team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business strategy and product roadmap.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fintech.
Establish coding standards and best practices for the engineering team, ensuring high-quality code and effective testing protocols to minimize bugs and technical debt.
Optimization of business processes through the implementation of modern technological solutions (selection of technologies to be used in a specific project).
Collaborate with product manager, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of product features and user experiences.
Manage project timelines and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of product releases and updates, while effectively addressing any technical challenges that arise.
Ensure that all products meet regulatory compliance and security standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments as necessary.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience in fintech or related industries, with a good understanding of regulatory requirements.
Strong expertise in PHP and full stack development, with knowledge of modern frameworks and libraries.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and anticipate technical challenges.
A passion for innovation and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing new technologies and practices to enhance product development.
